So, this past spring, we teamed up with Talking Rain for a concerted effort to enhance girls’ mental and physical health! Prior to our formal partnership, Talking Rain employees, called Rain Makers, participated in GOTR 5K Celebrations and served as coaches and community supporters. In 2024, Talking Rain elevated its grassroots efforts with GOTR to the national level! Empowering Communities With Every Step and Sip
Talking Rain partners with nonprofits focused on creating healthy communities, personal well-being, and greater inclusivity across a full spectrum of life stages and experiences. “Through our partnership with Girls on the Run both regionally and nationally, more girls will have access to the tools they need to develop strong self-esteem and make healthy life choices,” said Veronica Blankenship, Chief People and Communications Officer at Talking Rain. “The partnership also gives our employees – our Rain Makers – opportunities to connect directly with this important organization and its mission through the ability to engage with local GOTR councils, coach or mentor participants, participate in a run for a good cause, or hand out Sparkling Ice at events.”
This spring, Talking Rain showcased its dedication to the next generation by providing Sparkling Ice beverages to attendees at the Girls on the Run New York City and Girls on the Run Puget Sound 5K Celebrations. Throughout the events, Rain Makers cheered girls on by providing uplifting energy from start to finish. Their bubbly presence added a unique, unforgettable splash to each event and encouraged participants of all paces to stay strong and keep going – at the 5K and beyond!

Ever the ones to take it one step further, at recent fall 5Ks, Talking Rain revved up their support and provided over 110 communities with over 100,000 bottles of delicious, refreshing, and fun Sparkling Ice. As a bonus, they also offered volunteer coaches an opportunity to try their new line of +Caffeine products and even hosted their own Rain Maker ‘Sparkle 5K’ at their HQ, raising funds and awareness for Girls on the Run!

Encouraging Health and Wellness
GOTR develops programming that empowers girls to embrace their inner strength, even and especially when it is hard. Through physical activity, mentorship, and life skills lessons, girls in our program learn to build self-confidence. They discover skills to tackle challenges head-on. When girls are confident enough to take on new goals, including physical activity-based ones like completing a 5K, they learn there’s nothing they can’t do. By learning such skills and healthy habits as youth, they are on track for a well-balanced lifestyle that lasts. Similarly, Talking Rain is committed to producing better-for-you products that align with a healthy lifestyle. Free of carbs and sugar, Sparkling Ice has 17 fizzy, fruity flavors with authentic fruit flavors, natural colors, vitamins, and antioxidants, and six flavors with a caffeine boost!
